On your Snappr Photographer app, you can easily request additional payments from the customer for:
- Additional services such advanced editing
- Equipment rentals for additional gear you may need for the shoot
- Miscellaneous expenses like parking, toll and other travel fees
IMPORTANT: This feature is not available for Snappr Workflows at this time.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to your Dashboard and choose the relevant booking
- Tap Request changes
- Tap I need to request additional payment from the customer
- Indicate the following
- Type of additional payment (e.g. videography, equipment rental, parking fee)
- Amount
- Specific details
- Once you submit the request, the customer will receive a notification. The customer can either approve and then pay the amount or reject the request.
- You will receive confirmation thru chat when your request is approved or rejected.
A few things to keep in mind
- Snappr will not take a cut from additional charges processed through this feature. Additional payments go directly to photographers.
- Do not use this feature If you need to charge a customer for a shoot extension. You need to request a duration change instead.
Related article: How do I change the shoot duration? - The booking will be updated automatically once a request is approved. This means no further action is needed on your part. You will get the additional amount after the booking is completed.
- If you do not receive a chat confirmation, this means that the customer has not approved the additional payment yet. You can follow up via chat to get them to approve the request.
- This feature should only be used to request additional payments that the customer has already agreed to. Please do not spam the customer with requests to pay more if they have already declined.
