How do I cancel a shoot if I feel unsafe?

Modified on Thu, Jun 19 at 5:25 PM

Your safety is our top priority at all times. If any time before the shoot you feel like there is an immediate threat to your safety, we urge you to contact your local police or local emergency hotline at once. Please also contact Snappr at the same time so we can investigate the issue.

If you feel uncomfortable or have a bad experience with a photographer, you can cancel and request to change your photographer by submitting a support ticket:

  1. From your Snappr dashboard, choose Help
  2. Choose Get Help with a Booking. Choose the appropriate booking you wish to cancel.
  3. Add additional details to provide more context. Add any attachments or files that are relevant. Select Send Message.
  4. Snappr support will review your submission and process the cancellation accordingly. You will not be charged any additional fees.

Some additional reminders to keep you safe:

  • We recommend that you use the Snappr chat feature to communicate with your assigned photographer to protect yourself. This will allow you to directly communicate with your photographer, without needing to share your personal numbers. This can also serve as proof of discussion or agreements should issues arise during the photo shoot.
  • If you want to call or send a text message to your photographer, do not give your personal number. You can use the call button in your Snappr App instead. We assign a masked phone number that will be used during the entire booking to protect you and your photographer’s privacy.
