Why am I being asked to complete a background check?

You may have received an email from Checkr regarding a background check. All our partner photographers are required to complete a background check regardless of how long they have been using the platform.

  1. Why do we need to complete a background check after being a contractor with you for years?
    This is for compliance. All our partner photographers are required to complete a background check regardless of how long they have been using the platform.

  2. What information do I need to provide for the background check?
    The information that should be provided for the background check through Checkr are your:

  • Full name (including middle name)

  • Date of birth

  • Social Security Number

  • Current zip code

  • Phone number

  • Email address

Please do not send your personal identifiable information to us.

  1. How will I know when the background check is complete?
    Checkr has a candidate portal which you can access to track your background check’s progress. Access to the portal will be provided to you once you’ve started the background check.

  2. What happens if I get a hit?

The result of your background check will determine your eligibility to continue to be booked for shoots on our platform. We will comply with all local, state, and federal requirements pertaining to the information collected from and the results of your background check.
