Why does Snappr conduct background checks for photographers?

Modified on Thu, Jun 19 at 6:20 PM

Keeping our Snappr users safe is a top priority for us. One of the ways we promote safety is through background checks. These help us build trust between photographers and customers or enterprise partners so they can be at ease working together on our platform.

Snappr conducts background checks as part of the onboarding process for new photographers and for existing photographers to remain on the platform. As a photographer who has agreed to our Terms of Service during your Snappr onboarding, you have given us consent for you to be subjected to a background check.

How does the background check work?

Background checks are run by a third-party company. You will be required to provide additional documentation or requirements to complete the process. Failure to submit the requirements by date set by our partner may result in account deactivation.

Snappr assesses your background check results to determine your eligibility in using our platform. To remain eligible to shoot for Snappr, your background check results should reveal that you have:

  • No prior felonies
  • No disqualifying abuse charges of any kind
  • No theft charges
  • No violent charge of any kind
  • No sexual offense charge
  • Not committed crimes against children or the elderly
  • No terror-affiliated charges
  • All other charges held to our discretion

In order to remain a partner photographer, Snappr requires an up-to-date background check. Snappr also reserves the right to disqualify or deactivate any photographer should their background check reveal that they have committed any of the offenses mentioned above.
